41. God Is Not a Checklist — Heart Healing Through Repentance and Restoration for Christian Parents

Do your days feel so full that God ends up fitting in wherever there is space left?

In this episode, we pause and gently examine a pattern many Christian parents fall into—placing God alongside our schedules instead of allowing God to shape them.

This episode invites parents and those raising children to return to God first, so healing can take place before we attempt to disciple or lead spiritually. Through Joel 2 and compassionate biblical teaching, we explore how repentance is not religious performance, but a heart-level return to the Lord.

We look at how unresolved pain quietly shapes parenting, why God’s discipline flows from love rather than punishment, and how restoration follows when we surrender our checklists and place God above all things.

This conversation is for parents who long to raise children rooted in faith—but recognize their own hearts need care, healing, and realignment with God along the way.

Blessings,
✨ Tricia

This week, choose one moment each day to lay the checklist down. Sit with the Lord—not to accomplish something, but to return to Him.
