Grounded Kids Resilient Faith I Christian Parenting, Family Discipleship, Raising Kids in Faith, Healing in Motherhood

Have you ever asked God, How am I supposed to raise Christ-rooted kids when He is still healing parts of my own heart? Do you ever wonder if the faith you are planting in your children will stand firm when they face the pressures of the world? Or find yourself asking if you are doing enough to help them trust Jesus deeply—while you’re still learning to trust Him more yourself?

If those questions have crossed your heart, you are not alone.

Welcome to Grounded Kids Resilient Faith, a podcast for Christian moms who want to trust God as they raise Christ-rooted children who stand firm in Jesus.

I’m Tricia Kelley—Jesus follower, homeschool mom, educator, and a woman who has experienced the healing work of God firsthand. Like many mothers, my journey with Jesus did not begin from a perfect place. It began with God gently meeting me in the middle of my story and restoring what was broken.

Now I’m raising my own children while learning, day by day, to trust God with the sacred responsibility of discipling their hearts.

Each week we talk about the healing work God does in a mother’s heart, the simple Deuteronomy 6:6–9 rhythms that keep Scripture at the center of family life, and how to raise children who don’t just know about Jesus but learn to seek Him first and trust what God’s Word says about Him—so their faith remains steady as they grow into adulthood.

This podcast is not about perfect parenting. It is about faithful discipleship in everyday life, trusting that God is at work in you and in your children.

If you long to raise kids whose faith is deeply rooted in Christ—while walking closely with God in your own motherhood—you are in the right place.

Do you ever feel like technology is running your home instead of you? When screens, social media, and school devices seem to shape what your kids believe faster than you can speak truth into their hearts—take heart. You don’t have to fear culture or fight every influence coming at your family.
In this episode, you will learn how to stop fighting against culture and start discipling through it—by using Scripture as your family’s filter for truth. I will share three practical discipleship rhythms that help you bring faith into your everyday moments—without adding more to your already full schedule.
When you make God’s Word your family’s first response instead of the world’s opinions, transformation begins right inside your home—and flows through your children’s hearts.
Blessings, ✨ Tricia

Do you ever yell at your kids and then instantly regret it? Do you find yourself trying to control everything out of fear, even though you know that’s not the kind of parent you want to be? Are you worried that your triggers might become your children’s triggers too?
In this episode, we dive into 1 Chronicles 21:7–18, 26–28 to see how David responded when he made a foolish choice and how God’s mercy met him in the middle of it.
We’ll talk about the parenting triggers that show up in our homes — anger, yelling, and control — and how Jesus can heal those places so we don’t pass down pain to our kids.
You will see how to recognize when your pain is shaping your reactions and why it matters to choose God’s hands over your own control. You will walk through scripture to understand how to take responsibility instead of passing pain to your children and the power of building an altar of peace in your home.
This episode is for every parent who longs to break the cycle of trauma and raise kids in a home defined by peace and mercy instead of pain.
Blessings,
✨ Tricia

Have you struggled with repeating old patterns of discipline that don’t line up with God’s Word? Are you searching for biblical wisdom that connects discipline to discipleship in your home?
In this episode of Grounded Kids Resilient Faith, we dive into Hebrews 12:7–11 to uncover why godly discipline matters and how it shapes the hearts of our children for the future. I share  four biblical points about discipline that prove it is an act of love, a protection against entitlement, a training toward holiness, and a process that produces peace and righteousness.
If you’ve ever wondered how discipline fits into discipleship, this episode will encourage and equip you to see discipline not as punishment but as training in righteousness that reflects the love of our Heavenly Father.
Blessings,
✨ Tricia

In this episode of Grounded Kids Resilient Faith, I’m sharing encouragement for parents who doubt their influence in passing on faith to their kids. We will walk through God’s blueprint in Deuteronomy 6, explore practical ways to weave Scripture into everyday life, and I’ll share a personal story that reminded me God is always at work—often in ways we can’t see. Do you feel the pressure for your kids to “do it all right” — to get the grades, make the team, or always succeed? As parents, it’s easy to slip into perfectionism, but God never asked our children to be perfect. He designed them with a far greater purpose.
In this episode of Grounded Kids Resilient Faith, we dive into five biblical keys that help you guide your kids to live with God’s purpose instead of chasing perfection. You will discover how to:
Teach your kids humble dependence on God’s grace.
Help them reflect God’s nature in daily life.
Show them their impact on future generations.
Remind them they were created with intentional design.
Anchor their worth in Christ, not performance.
You don’t have to raise perfect kids. You get to raise purposeful ones — kids who know their worth in Christ and build unshakable faith for the future.
Blessings,
✨ Tricia

Learn how to:
Anchor yourself in Scripture and God’s promises
Find rest in the Lord amid parenting challenges
Model faith in everyday life so your children can stand firm in any storm

Remember these steps to anchor your heart in God’s Word:
Come to Jesus for rest: His invitation is clear—He offers you peace, not a heavier load. Trust His gentle guidance.
Embrace the rest God has woven into creation: Recognize the Sabbath as a gift, a time to reflect, renew, and trust in God’s provision.
Rest in God’s provision: Trust that He is your provider, and you don’t need to carry the burden of striving alone.
